The Comforting Dish Chef Daniel Boulud Never Orders At A Restaurant
By ERICA ANDREWS
For many of us, it's normal to feel tempted to order our favorite comfort food from a restaurant, even if we can make the same thing at home. However, chef Daniel Boulud, a master of French cuisine and owner of 13 different restaurants around the world, is totally against ordering his favorite comfort meal from any eatery.
With his talent in the kitchen, it might be unsurprising that the restaurateur would prefer to make his own soup, his favorite comfort food, for himself. Boulud told Yahoo! that each time he makes a soup, it's different, but he likes to use a combination of vegetables, herbs, grains, meat, and seafood, and brings them all to the right texture.
Boulud also revealed that one of his favorite soups is moqueca soup, a Brazillian fish stew commonly served with rice that features fish or shrimp, peppers, and coconut milk. If you're like Chef Boulud and prefer to customize your own soups, you might want to order something at a restaurant that you're less likely to make yourself.
