The Clever Hack For Cheaper Starbucks Caramel Macchiatos
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
There are an estimated 170,000 ways to customize your Starbucks order, and you can use these tricks to save money by recreating your favorite drinks, including the caramel macchiato.
According to Limabean Living on YouTube, you can "hack" a caramel macchiato by ordering a triple iced espresso, adding five pumps of vanilla syrup, a caramel drizzle, and milk.
For a Venti, the dupe costs just $4.75 compared to the real thing at $5.95. A Grande rings in at $4.35 compared to $5.45, and a Tall costs $4.15 compared to $4.75.
This method is easier to pull off when ordering from the Starbucks app, because the app shows you exactly what goes into a caramel macchiato, making it easier to replicate.
On the app, you can also choose your cup size, change your milk of choice, or even request that the barista line your cup with caramel sauce for extra sweetness at no extra charge.
