The Champagne Vending Machine You Need A Gold Coin To Operate
By MICHELLE WELSCH
After a long day of travel, hotel vending machines are great for convenient snacks and drinks, but ones that dispense champagne take this convenience to a whole new level. While a champagne vending machine might sound like what dreams are made of, these actually exist, and if you stay at a few select hotels, you can experience one for yourself.
At the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia or the Lexington Hotel in New York City, guests can experience the Moët & Chandon Champagne vending machines. To use it, guests are given a gold coin stamped with the Moët & Chandon logo that they then insert into the slot before choosing from a selection ranging from the classic Impérial Brut to the Impérial Rosé.
While the dispensed 200 mL bottles are a bit smaller than traditional serving sizes, the machines also provide fluted glasses for easy and convenient sipping. In addition to a handful of hotels, events like the Golden Globes and the opening of New York City's Hudson Yards have also displayed the machines for attendees.
