The Breakfast Staple That Bobby Flay Loves As A Midnight Snack

Breakfast can be great any time of the day, especially in the middle of the night. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay revealed his favorite midnight snack is, in fact, a breakfast staple.
In an Instagram video posted by Misfits Market, Flay declared his favorite late-night meal is a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich — otherwise known as a BEC.
This accolade has to do with Flay's New York roots. The chef cited the breakfast essential as "a classic New York combination," pointing to the city's longstanding history with it.
Flay says in the video, "We'd go to our local deli — 24-hour late night situation — and get a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, maybe after a couple of cocktails ..."
The chef claims the sandwich is for great hangovers, proving its versatility at any time. When making a BEC, he uses harissa and brioche and cooks his eggs in the bacon fat.
