The Better Way To Consume Your Daily Apple Cider Vinegar Shot
BY ELIZABETH OKOSUN
Consuming apple cider vinegar can improve heart health, stabilize glucose levels, and supply the body with tons of beneficial probiotics, but it can be difficult to drink.
Made of crushed fermented apples, sugar, and yeast, apple cider is incredibly sour and acidic, and drinking it straight can cause damage to your esophagus and teeth.
Instead of taking a shot of straight apple cider vinegar, dilute a tablespoon of it in a glass of water, and don’t consume more than 2 tablespoons in a day.
Drinking apple cider vinegar in the morning is a popular practice, but the time of day doesn’t make much of a difference, so you can drink it at any time or right before meals.
You can also try sneaking the vinegar into your daily diet by incorporating it into recipes like salad dressing, or by swapping apple cider vinegar in for balsamic vinegar.
