The Best Wine To Serve With Buttery Lobster Tails
BY BRIAN UDALL
Buttery lobster tails are rich, somewhat sweet, and have that bright saltiness you get with good seafood, which makes a chenin blanc the perfect wine to pair them with.
A crisp chenin blanc’s acidity cuts through the butter and pulls the fresh lobster flavors out front. The wine is sweet, so it emphasizes the lobster meat without outperforming it.
Chenin blanc can produce a wide range of flavor profiles, so some bottles will work better with lobster than others. Some of the best come from the Loire Valley in France.
