The Best Way To Prep Frozen Green Beans For The Air Fryer
By ALEX SCHAUER
An air fryer works by quickly circulating extremely hot air on the surface of food to make it crispy and brown, while using very little oil. A vegetable that really shines when cooked in an air fryer is green beans, and this includes frozen beans, which barely need any prep time at all before they're ready for the dinner table.
All you need to prepare green beans in the air fryer is the air fryer itself. Clean Eating Kitchen says to heat the device to 380 degrees Fahrenheit, place the frozen beans into the basket, and let them cook for 7 minutes, then toss the beans around in the basket and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until browned.
The Kitchn says that you don’t need to add seasonings to the beans before or during cooking. Their method instructs you to air-fry the frozen beans in 5-minute increments, making sure to drain any water that pools in the basket between the increments, then toss them with seasonings for a flavorful finish.
