The Best Temperature To Bake Pork Ribs For Tender Results
BY JOHN TOLLEY
Pork ribs need to bake at different temperatures depending on the type. Give baby back ribs about an hour at 300 to 325 degrees Fahrenheit uncovered.
An hour and a half should be good for baby back ribs covered in foil at 375 degrees. Larger ribs, like spare ribs, should cook for two hours uncovered at 350 degrees F.
If you wrap your spare ribs, cook them at 300 degrees F for three hours or at 400 degrees F for one and a half to two hours.
Wrapping ribs in foil locks in moisture, helping to tenderize the meat and keep it from drying out. Unwrapped ribs don’t get this benefit, which is why they need to be cooked less.
