The Best Grind Size For Successful AeroPress Coffee
BY MICHELLE WELSCH
AeroPress coffee is brewed by quickly pressing a plunger through ground coffee beans and hot water that have been placed into a plastic compartment, creating coffee in a flash.
To maximize flavor and capitalize on the ease of the AeroPress's use, use finer coffee grounds. Reach for a grind that is just a bit coarser than what is used for espresso.
Fine grounds won't resist the plunger and make it hard to pull through. With a coarse grind, the water can also leak through the paper filter and create weaker-tasting coffee.
A finer grind is easier and quicker to use in an AeroPress with more consistent results, creating an ideal setup for busy java fans who want quality coffee with minimal fuss.
