The Baking Tool That Will Give You Crispier Bread Crust

Baking bread at home can be a rewarding experience, but achieving the perfect crust and interior texture can be a challenge. Fortunately, there's a simple kitchen tool that can help you achieve the perfect crispy bread crust each time, and it also happens to be a baking multitasker you won't regret buying.
A baking stone, or pizza stone, is a flat, rectangular piece of stone or ceramic that absorbs and retains heat, creating an even cooking surface for not only crispier pizza crusts, but crispier bread. The stone also helps to regulate the humidity in the oven by absorbing the moisture evaporated by the bread.
A baking stone can even generate higher temperatures than your oven can achieve on its own, allowing you to bake at up to 450 to 500 degrees F, even if you can't set your oven to be that hot. Just remember to preheat the stone in your oven for at least 30 minutes before placing your bread on the stone.
