The Apple Cider Vinegar Myth That Won't Go Away
Lately, many people have been touting apple cider vinegar as the miracle of holistic medicine that can help manage diabetes, improve weight loss, and lower cholesterol. While some of these claims are true, there’s one notion that’s been tested, and proven to be a myth.
After a series of posts claiming that apple cider vinegar helps in weight loss went viral on Facebook in May 2022, Health Feedback conducted a meta-analysis of studies testing the weight loss capabilities of the condiment, both with and without other additives.
Turns out that while there are a few studies that prove the claim, their results are not definitive. Based on the evidence, the meta-analysis didn’t find apple cider vinegar to be as effective a weight loss tool for most people, and that regular physical activity and a healthy diet work best instead.
