The Additional Step To Make Shaping No-Bake Protein Balls Easier
BY MICHELLE WELSCH
Protein balls are bite-sized treats made of protein powder plus tasty ingredients like peanut butter, oats, and maple syrup, but these powdery and sticky foods can make a mess.
When it's time to roll your protein mixture into balls, avoid a sticky situation or misshapen snacks by giving your ingredients a one hour rest in the fridge to firm up first.
Once the batter is cool, it will be much easier to roll. If your mixture is crumbly, pour in some milk or a milk alternative to add some moisture for a smoother consistency.
Binders like tahini or nut butter also help to hold the mixture together. If it's hard to shape right out of the fridge, give it a minute to warm up and become malleable.
