The Absolute Best Ways To Reheat Salmon
By HOPE NGO
Salmon is delicious, can be cooked in many different ways, and is a great source of protein, vitamin B, omega-3, and potassium. However, most seafood is tricky to reheat without drying it out; here's how to heat up your leftover salmon filets for the best flavor and texture.
Using the microwave to reheat salmon dries it out and results in an unappealing fishy aroma. Experts recommend heating salmon filets in the oven for about 15 minutes, at a temperature between 275 and 300 F; cover the salmon with foil and heat it up as slowly as you have time for, in order to preserve its moisture.
If a microwave is your only option, cover the salmon with a paper towel or a lid to keep moisture locked in. Use the microwave's lowest setting, microwave one side of the salmon filet for thirty seconds, flip it over, add any side dishes you have on hand, and microwave for another 30 seconds.
