Take Everything Up A Notch With Garlic Bread Bowls
BY MATTHEW SPINA
Garlic, butter, and herbs enhance a bread bowl by giving it a garlicky burst of flavor that complements dishes such as French onion soup and creamy tomato soup.
To make a garlic bread bowl, mix room temperature butter, minced garlic, salt, and any optional additions like parsley, red pepper flakes, or grated parmesan cheese.
Next, spread this mixture around the interior of a small white bread loaf or sourdough boule with a circle cut out of the center to create a bowl shape.
Use any leftover to rub on the exterior crust of the bread for garlic bread flavor in every bite. Bake the bowl in a 400-degree Fahrenheit oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
