Strawberry Pretzel Salad Is The Vintage Dessert Your Summer Should Have

Jell-O salads, once a classic part of American cuisine, has largely faded from popularity, but Strawberry Pretzel Salad remains a beloved dessert in a few states.
The dessert features layers of salted pretzels, cream cheese, Cool Whip, sliced strawberries, and strawberry Jell-O. It’s a nod to the once-trendy mid-century gelatin molds.
The bottom pretzel layer is baked until browned and then needs to cool completely. After that, the cream cheese layer is poured on top and allowed to firm up in the fridge.
Finally, combine the Jell-O mix with boiling water and then add strawberries. Once the mixture is at room temperature, pour it over the cream layer and let it set in the fridge.
