Starbursts are an exciting and extra colorful item to add to your s’mores. Much like marshmallows, Starbursts contain gelatin which creates a gooey, jiggly texture.
When roasted, the outside of a Starbursts becomes like a candy shell to crack into, and when you do, you get a fruity, sugary, stretchy interior, like saltwater taffy.
Hold the skewer over the fire until the candy starts to drip. You can put multiple colored Starbursts on the skewer and see the colors swirl together as they melt over the fire.
