Starbucks Vs Dutch Bros: Which Brand Makes A Tastier Cup Of Coffee?
BY Carmen Varner
Availability
You’re more likely to find a Starbucks than a Dutch Bros. Starbucks has over 32,000 locations in 80 countries, while Dutch Bros has nearly 1,000 locations in 18 states.
The two coffee companies offer distinct drinks and experiences. Drink prices at each establishment vary, but there isn't too much of a difference.
Starbucks Iced Vanilla Latte
One of Starbucks’ latte iterations, the iced vanilla latte is made with 2% milk, four pumps of vanilla syrup, and two shots of blonde espresso over ice.
The espresso seemed barely present, but luckily, it’s very customizable to suit your desires. It's not a distinctive drink, but it's great when you want something easy to sip on.
Dutch Bros Iced Vanilla Latte
The Dutch Bros iced vanilla latte is made with espresso, vanilla syrup, and 2% milk. The milk seems to be the drink’s predominant flavor.
However, there's also a hint of vanilla and the lingering flavor of espresso on the tongue. The espresso tastes smooth, while the vanilla brings a welcome hint of sweetness.
Starbucks Cold Brew
The Starbucks cold brew is steeped in cold water for 20 hours to give it a smooth flavor and mellow taste that isn't too acidic.
This mellowness makes the drink a good option for those who don't usually appreciate the bitterness of black coffee.
Dutch Bros Cold Brew
The Dutch Bros cold brew is very mild; it doesn't taste like a whole lot. To its credit, this coffee drink is not bitter.
Its temperate taste may be good quality for a cold brew, but it was forgettable. Like the Starbucks version, it’s a great starting point for those who don’t like black coffee.
