Starbucks’ Hot Chocolate Packs A Little Punch Of Caffeine
BY NIKKI MUNOZ
If you want to avoid caffeine but still want to enjoy Starbucks, you might think twice about the hot chocolate. It contains 25 milligrams of caffeine per 16-ounce grande cup.
We can’t blame Starbucks because all chocolate contains some caffeine. The caffeine comes from cocoa beans, so dark chocolate contains the highest amount.
Compared to other Starbucks drinks, one espresso shot contains 63 milligrams of caffeine and a tall (12 oz) contains 155 milligrams. Luckily, there are caffeine-free beverages.
The option that is closest to a hot chocolate would be the Caramel Brulée Crème Frappuccino. There is also the Strawberry Frappuccino, lemonade, or some of their brewed teas.
