Starbucks' Brigadeiro Frappuccino Puts A Tasty Spin On The Brazilian Dessert
BY MICHELLE WELSCH
Brigadeiros are specialty chocolates in Brazil made of chilled condensed milk and cocoa powder. Starbucks has a liquid version called the Brigadeiros Frappuccino.
To make one, Brazilian Starbucks baristas mix regular and white mocha sauces, coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, ice, and chocolate chips. They line the cups with brigadeiro sauce.
Upon request, customers can customize their drinks with various milk options, drizzles of caramel, flavored whipped creams, dustings of cocoa or cinnamon, or a sprinkle of salt.
Sadly, brigadeiro-flavored Frappuccinos are difficult to come by outside of Brazil. However, you can replicate it at home with the right ingredients.
