Slice And Air Fry Spam For A Crisp, Meaty Take On Fries
BY AUSTIN HAVENS-BOWEN
Instead of making french fries in your air fryer, try Spam fries, a meaty, crispy version of the traditionally starchy snack that pairs well with various dipping sauces.
Spam is a processed meat made of pork, potato starch, and a few other ingredients. Its rectangular shape makes it perfect for turning into fries with just a few slices.
A single can of Spam Classic makes about 24 fries depending on your desired thickness. Season and coat them in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Air fry the Spam fries at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes until crispy. Then, serve them with a dipping sauce and enjoy.
