Just when you thought that a Whopper couldn't get any better, Burger King has raised the stakes again with a new menu item to join its lineup of Whopper Melts. In what appears to be a soft launch, the Shroom n' Swiss Whopper Melt has debuted at select BK locations across the U.S., as of December 2022.

This Whopper Melt consists of two classic flame-grilled Whopper patties with layers of melted Swiss cheese, topped with fire-roasted mushrooms and a Royal Sauce and served on toasted bread. The very little press surrounding the new release indicates that the company may be testing the sandwich before promoting it.

Burger King first released its line of Whopper Melts earlier this year, which included the Classic Whopper Melt, Spicy Whopper Melt, and Bacon Whopper Melt. The unique fixings of the Shroom n' Swiss offer an earthier, umami-loaded twist that customers across the country may be able to taste in the near future.
