Revamp Canned Tuna For More Flavorful Tostadas
By ERICA MARTINEZ
While canned tuna is typically relegated to tuna salad sandwiches, you can use it for pasta, salads, casseroles, or even a delicious take on Mexican tostadas.
Tostadas are a delicious dish of a flat, fried corn tortilla topped with meat, beans, cheese, and vegetables. Tuna makes a convenient, long-lasting, dead-simple tostada topper.
In addition to making an easy dish even easier, tuna is very customizable. You can opt for a classic tuna salad, or mix tuna with oil and lime juice for a more authentic flavor.
You can even give it an Asian fusion spin by mixing in mayo, sriracha or gochujang, carrot, cucumber, slivered almonds, and green onions, with a cilantro and avocado garnish.
