Restaurants Across The US That Humphrey Bogart Loved

Formosa Café
According to The Formosa Café's management, Humphrey Bogart was a regular at this restaurant, which still serves tasty Chinese food amid its retro decor.
The Los Angeles-based café's ambiance recalls the Golden Age of Hollywood, with scarlet booth seating in the dining room and a fully restored, original, red trolley-car section.
Musso & Frank Grill
Bogart was a regular at this Los Angeles-based spot, where he was often seen at the bar with his fourth wife, Lauren Bacall, or with author Dashiell Hammett.
Dishes that stand out for their longevity on the menu include grilled lamb kidneys with bacon and grenadine of beef. The bar also offers an extensive Scotch selection.
Barney's Beanery
Bogart and Bacall apparently considered Los Angeles' Barney's Beanery their special spot, though it has now lost its shine as a Hollywood hangout.
Today, you can still stop at their original location at Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood to try their legendary chili, served with cheese, sour cream, and onions.
Five Crowns
Five Crowns' Tudor-style building in Corona del Mar was previously The Hurley Bell, which was frequented by Hollywood Stars who docked their boats at the nearby marina.
Bogart also kept his yacht in the marina. The Hurley Bell went downhill toward the late '40s, and the building was later restored when Five Crowns launched in 1965.
Chasen's
This dearly departed LA restaurant, which was famous for its chili, was an all-time favorite among the Hollywood elite, including Humphrey Bogart.
A widely told Hollywood legend recounts that the actor once teamed up with his "Casablanca" co-star Peter Lorre for a drunken heist of the restaurant's safe.
