Ranking Store-Bought Dijon Mustard Brands From Worst To Best

8. 365 Whole Foods
Instead of just adding a pleasant tang, the apple cider vinegar in 365 Whole Foods Market’s organic Dijon mustard cuts through everything else in the condiment.
It has a dark color — likely due to its unique blend of spices. All those spices, though, just can't compete with the strong vinegar note, earning the mustard its last-place spot.
If you hate the intensity of Dijon mustard, you might like French's chardonnay Dijon mustard because it doesn't have that distinct Dijon flavor and is rather bland.
Signature Select's Dijon mustard is a cheap product that lists water as its first ingredient. Its texture does reflect that, landing it in the bottom three.
Despite being watery, the mustard is surprisingly complex and has a pretty good flavor. Plus, it contains white wine, which also comes as a surprise considering its price.
Target’s Market Pantry Dijon mustard has that signature acidic tang, savory saltiness, complexity from the mustard seeds, and depth of flavor from the white wine.
You can actually taste the wine in it, which the other brands don't offer. It has a good quality-to-price ratio but isn't worth making a special trip to Target for.
O Organics' Dijon mustard is very salty, which makes it tastier when it's on a sandwich or a bread slice. However, that also makes it off-putting when eaten alone.
