Budweiser Zero doesn’t offer that great Budweiser taste fans love. It has a mild aroma, an extremely sour taste, and a fermented sweetness that simply isn't good.
Its aftertaste lingers on the palate for far too long. While deep and dense in flavor, those flavors come across as unpleasantly artificial — and borderline chemical.
Meant to complement the Michelob Ultra brand, Michelob Ultra Zero smells strongly yeasty and sweet — like a sourdough starter, but in all the wrong ways.
The taste is bitter, and the aftertaste leaves an odd tang on the tongue, but luckily doesn't linger too long. The drink tastes more like an off-putting flavored water than a beer.
Heineken 0.0 and its alcoholic version are similar in color and yield a small head when poured. However, the pungent aroma of the former makes it difficult to drink.
While the drink does seem to come across as a beer, it tastes like it's gone bad. Additionally, it is oddly fruity and has a very artificial plastic flavor that's overpowering.
O'Doul's was created as an impression of a light lager, and it does look like that light lager, but it has a strange profile we can't really associate with other lagers.
This non-alcoholic beer from Anheuser-Busch tastes of malted barley, and there is a slight sweetness to it. Overall, it comes across as a very generic, low-shelf beer.
Stella Artois 0.0 and its alcoholic version would be hard to tell apart if tasted blind. The drinks look similar, and both have a harsh, lingering aftertaste.
As for the non-alcoholic version, it does offer a fruity taste and scent, but its mouthfeel is somewhat prickly and sharp on the tongue as if it contains too much carbonation.
