Ranking Nespresso Vertuo Master Origins Pods From Worst To Best
BY Sophia Beams
5. Mexico
The Vertuo Mexico is a strong, dark roast that is pleasantly earthy and smooth. It's very intense flavor-wise but isn't too acidic and has woody, vegetal notes.
The coffee pod uses Robusta beans rather than Arabica. It's ranked last because the choice of beans contributes to the brew's powerful, almost bitter flavor.
Colombia is a light blend that’s bright, smooth, fresh, and not at all overpowering. It has a very gentle fruitiness and some acidity to it but absolutely no bitterness.
We ranked the pod comparatively lower on this list because we believe more fun and experimental brews that appeal to more people should be ranked more favorably.
The Peru Organic pod is an espresso — not a coffee like the other Vertuo Master Origins pods. Its strongest notes are of berries, and it has a flavorful aftertaste.
It is robust with a well-balanced acidity and comes off as slightly earthy. The Peru pod is a relatively full-bodied espresso, but it's not the strongest Master Origins option.
