Ranking Frozen Fish Stick Brands From Worst To Best

8. Fisher Boy
Fisher Boy fish sticks are affordable, but that's probably only because they don't taste as good as some other brands. They're too bland and lack a fish-like texture.
These incredibly thin sticks seem mostly made of breading, which gets nice and crispy in the air fryer. The fish that you do actually encounter has a mushy texture.
Whole Foods' 365 breaded fish sticks are exactly what you would expect from cheap, unremarkable fish sticks. The overall flavor, including that of breading, is unnoticeable.
Even the crumb is a bit too fine to make the texture actively enjoyable. However, there is a decent amount of fish in every stick, and the fish itself is quite firm.
Gorton's fish sticks aren't bad, but they still disappoint. They are incredibly thin, with much of their mass coming from the breading rather than the fish itself.
Trader Joe's breaded fish sticks are painfully average. They have a fine fish-to-breading ratio, but the fish isn't all that flavorful, so the ratio doesn't matter.
Van de Kamp's crunchy breaded filets are more substantial than the average fish stick, with a lot of actual fish in them. However, the fish is quite soft.
It doesn't have a lot of flavor, either, apart from the crispy breading. That breading has a lovely texture, but these fish filets are a little too greasy.
