Dairy Queen does many things right, but their fries leave much to be desired. At their worst, the fries are limp, cold, and under-salted, and at their best, they’re forgettable.
White Castle can be pretty hit or miss depending on what you order, and unfortunately, their fries are nearly always limp, saltless, and devoid of any crispiness.
Sonic’s fries are your run-of-the-mill, standard-cut fries that somehow are never fresh. Compared to tastier sides like their onion rings or tater tots, the fries are a letdown.
The fries at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are your standard natural-cut fries. They lack pizzazz and have no qualities that make them unique, which ultimately makes them forgettable.
In-N-Out has some of the best burgers in the business, but the same can’t be said for their plain fries. However, getting the restaurant’s animal-style fries is worth a try.
