Peppermint Candy Shot Glasses Are The Perfect Way To End Holidays
BY KAT LIEU
Close out the holiday season with peppermint candy shot glasses. Making these shot glasses is surprisingly straightforward, and there are two techniques you can use.
The first way is to use a silicone mold. Preheat your oven to 350 F, then unwrap your peppermints and arrange them around the mold tube, stacking two to three mints on top.
Bake the mints until they melt and take on the shape of the mold, which takes about 15 minutes. Once cooled and hardened, these peppermint shot glasses are ready to serve.
For a moldless way to create these shot glasses, begin by preheating your oven to 300 F. Arrange seven peppermint candies in a hexagonal shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for approximately 11 minutes. These peppermint "glasses" may turn out shallower and thicker, offering just enough room for a single sip of your favorite holiday drink.
These glasses can be a bit sticky to handle, so it’s best to serve cold drinks in them. Hot beverages might lead to a melty, sticky situation, which is not ideal.
