Paul Newman Considered This California Restaurant The 'Best In The World'

Actor, philanthropist, and the man behind Newman's Own, Paul Newman, spent plenty of time at Los Angeles eateries. However, his favorite spot was actually outside the city.
The Ojai Ranch House is about 2 hours outside of LA. According to a postcard on the restaurant's website, Newman wrote, "The Ojai Ranch House is the BEST RESTAURANT THE WORLD."
He added, "There is no 4 star restaurant in France as good." The restaurant is nestled in a picturesque location, giving visitors an otherworldly feeling while they dine.
Given the restaurant's location and its use of the freshest in California pantry staples, it's no wonder why Newman had such a profound love for this hidden gem of the Ojai valley.
