Our Favorite Trader Joe's Chips Have Perfect Crunch And Flavor

During Tasting Table's review of 19 different Trader Joe's chips, Dark Russet Potato Chips came out on top, offering an irresistible crunch along with an earthy, robust taste.
These chips are made in a darker style and are naturally caramelized, as the sugars found in russet potatoes undergo a transformation when exposed to heat.
Over time, the transformation leads to the Maillard reaction, which changes the potato's taste and smell. This makes the chip crunchier, richer in taste, and golden brown in color.
