One Tasty Way Ina Garten Keeps Cooking Fun
By KAREN HART
Even when you have all the ingredients you need and have already planned out a meal ahead of time, cooking can be stressful after a long day of work. Even celebrity chefs like Ina Garten sometimes feel this way, but she has a great trick up her sleeve that helps her keep her cooking sessions fun and relaxed.
Garten brings joy to cooking by sipping on her favorite wine or a tasty cocktail, humorously posting on Instagram: "It's always cocktail hour in a crisis!" If you aren't a fan of alcohol, a mocktail made with a little citrus is an authentic-tasting substitute that will still make you feel like you're treating yourself.
If you're often stressed, you may have a love-hate relationship with cooking, but if you treat yourself to a relaxing drink, cooking can be therapeutic, a time to connect with loved ones and have fun. While talking with “60 Minutes,” Garten put it best: "I just think — if you're not having fun what's the point, really?"
