Michael Symon's Go-To Bourbon Brand
By KAREN HART
According to a recent survey by Spotify Advertising, an overwhelming "71% of US consumers enjoy things that remind them of their childhood." Celebrity chef Michael Symon has proven to be no different, as evidenced by the bourbon brand he calls his "go-to."
While making fried risotto balls, also known as "arancini," and a peachy cocktail, Symon revealed that his go-to bourbon brand of choice is Knob Creek. The chef also disclosed that it was the bourbon his dad drank, which made it the perfect choice for his adult beverages.
Knob Creek Bourbon, part of the Jim Beam family, got its start in 1992 and has the knowledge of seven generations of bourbon makers behind it. Speaking of nostalgia, the bourbon has a name derived from "the creek that ran behind Abraham Lincoln's childhood home in Kentucky."
