Manhattan Isn't The Location Of New York's Tastiest Little Italy
BY Courtney Iseman
While Mulberry Street in lower Manhattan is the image most people think of when they think about New York City's Little Italy, Arthur Avenue in the Bronx is an underrated gem.
Also known as the Belmont neighborhood, you might recognize it from classic movies like "A Bronx Tale," which captures a snapshot of the Italian area's history.
When it comes to the best Italian restaurants in New York City, you'll find plenty right in this walkable neighborhood, such as Enzo's on Arthur Avenue.
Belmont Avenue also features worthwhile restaurants, as do side streets from about 184th to 189th Streets, such as Artuso's Pastry Shop on 187th Street.
