Make A Delicious BBQ Side By Throwing Onions In Your Smoker
BY DEB KAVIS
For an incredibly impressive addition to your barbecue lineup that's extremely simple to make, try smoking your sweet onions.
Roasted sweet onions like Vidalia and Maui pair nicely with your meat selection due to their rich flavors, and throwing them in the smoker makes them easier to prepare.
Peel the onion and cut out a cavity in the center, then apply your preferred butter and seasonings. Wrap everything up in foil and put it in the smoker for about an hour.
When wrapping, keep as much of the onion uncovered as possible so the smoke can fully permeate the onion, giving you a flavorful result.
