Keep Things Sweet And Simple With 2-Ingredient Chocolate Truffles
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
For delicious, easy-to-make chocolate truffles, all you need is basic kitchen know-how and two specific ingredients: milk (condensed or coconut) and chocolate.
Condensed milk is thick, rich, and sweet, perfect for dessert-making, while the latter is a great substitute if you're following a plant-based diet and desire a coconut flair.
As for the chocolate, choose dark or semi-sweet chips or chunks, or cut up your favorite chocolate-only bar. Alternatively, cocoa powder can be used.
Start by heating your bowl of milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stopping before it reaches its boiling point. Then, stir in your chocolate until the mixture is smooth.
Cover the bowl and stick it in the fridge for two hours to harden. Use a cookie scoop to make evenly-sized balls, then pop them back in the fridge for at least a few more hours.
Feel free to incorporate mix-ins, such as peanut butter, or even roll the truffles in toppings like cocoa powder. Remember to let your truffles defrost a bit before serving.
