Joanna Gaines' Time-Saving Meal Prep Hack Sets You Up For Success
BY KAREN HART
If you love adding fresh vegetables to your weekly meals but are short on time, Joanna Gaines has a hack to cut down on prep time without sacrificing quality.
On Instagram, Gaines shared that she "set[s] aside thirty minutes at the beginning of the week to clean and chop my veggies and fruits" so they are ready to use for the week.
Most cut vegetables should be used within two to three days. Hearty varieties like beets and carrots can last for a week, while mushrooms and tomatoes can get slimy quickly.
Likewise, it’s important to store your veg in airtight containers, and thoroughly dry your veggies after washing and prepping to ensure they stay crisp and delicious.
