Jack Daniel's Is Actually Distilled In A Dry County

Remnants of the U.S. Prohibition period still lingers, especially in Moore County, Tennessee. While alcohol can't be legally sold there, it's where Jack Daniel's distillery is.
While no one visiting the distillery can buy alcohol, they can buy the bottle the whiskey comes in as a collector's item — free whiskey included. This is thanks to a 1995 loophole.
Therefore, Moore County in Tennessee isn't technically bone-dry. We could call it "damp" or "moist," but those don't have quite the same ring to them.
