Is There A Difference Between Basket And Oven Air Fryers?
BY LUNA REGINA
Air fryers have quickly become an essential kitchen appliance, but depending on whether you have a basket or oven air fryer, you might use it for different things.
Basket air fryers have a basket or drawer in which you cook your food. Because these baskets tend to be compact, their cooking time is usually 20 to 25% faster than an oven.
An air fryer oven combines an air fryer with a convection oven and differs primarily by having a higher fan speed which gives the food a crispier touch.
Air fryer ovens tend to look like mini ovens, with a volume from 12 to 34 liters, but this larger size means they need more space and take longer to cook than basket models.
Air fryer ovens can cook larger volumes of food and have more functions including grilling, toasting, reheating, and slow cooking — eliminating the need for other gadgets.
