Instead Of Grilling Ribs, Try Deep Frying Them During Cold Winter Months
BY WENDY LEIGH
In the cold winter months, grilling may not be an option for cooking ribs. Instead, grab some cooking oil, flour, and seasonings and give them from deep-fried love.
Deep frying ribs, whether the longer or slower way, is a simple affair, but there are things to consider. Just like with fried chicken, timing and technique matter.
In the quick-fry method, coat the ribs in seasonings, then dredge them in flour before lowering them into oil. Make sure the ribs are at room temperature before frying.
For the longer method, you slowly braise the ribs in the oven for a couple of hours, where you can add your desired flavors and tenderizers. Then, deep fry the ribs as normal.
