Ina Garten's Trick To Give Your Pie The Perfect Piping

Piping a design in whipped cream around the top of a pie creates a show-stopping dessert, but it requires practice and precision, and even then, it might not turn out the best.
Chef Ina Garten has shared a tip on Instagram for pie-piping success. In a video, she demonstrates that rotating the pie as you pipe results in a perfect, round perimeter of cream.
Garten moves her hand clockwise while piping cream onto a frozen key lime pie, while also rotating it in its pan. A lazy Susan or turnable cake stand also does the job.
