Ina Garten's Secret Method For Fall Off The Bone Ribs
By SHAYE GLISSON
Chef and Food Network star Ina Garten says that the secret to her foolproof ribs is cooking them in the oven, then transferring them to the grill. Doing this results in succulent ribs that fall right off the bone.
Baby back ribs are very tender and lean but tend to be more expensive because of the high demand. Instead, Garten prefers St. Louis style ribs, which come from the belly of the hog and have a meatier and fatty slab.
Season with salt and pepper, brush with barbecue sauce, loosely cover with foil, and place them in the oven at 350 F for an hour and 45 minutes. After the ribs are cooked and tender, brush them with more barbecue sauce, and throw them on the grill for five minutes on each side until the sauce becomes sticky. Finally, let them rest for 10 minutes.
