In 2025, Starbucks Is Bringing Back A Classic Cafe Feature
BY Claire Redden
New Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol is implementing several new initiatives for the chain’s betterment, including relaunching the condiment bar, a feature it ditched in 2021.
Starting in 2025, thousands of Starbucks in the U.S. will have self-serve condiment bar stations carrying milk and creamer, sugar and sweeteners, napkins, utensils, and condiments.
Starbucks withdrew the classic cafe feature during the COVID-19 pandemic to help reduce the spread of germs, encourage employee connection with customers, and prevent waste.
Speaking of its return, Niccol told The Wall Street Journal, “Customers are asking for it, and our baristas are saying it would help them deliver the [desired] speed of service.”
The condiment bars will help you control how much milk and sugar goes into your cup. You can also grab your own napkins, straws, etc., making things easier for the baristas.
