How To Make Spaghetti Squash In The Microwave To Tender Perfection
BY ELIZABETH OKOSUN
To cook spaghetti squash in the microwave in just 10 minutes, simply poke holes in the squash, put it in a microwave-safe dish, and cook it on high for four minutes.
Put the microwaved squash on a cutting board and slice it lengthwise. Once you scoop out the pulp and seeds, sprinkle olive oil, salt, and pepper into the center.
Pour about an inch of water into a dish and place the squash face down in it. Then, microwave the squash for an additional five minutes.
Once the squash is soft enough for a fork to easily poke through the outer flesh, it's ready. Now you can scrape out the squash with a fork for tender, crisp, spaghetti-like strands.
Enjoy its mild, nutty flavor with a drizzle of olive oil, herbs, or spices. Serve directly from the squash or mix with pasta sauce or pesto.
