How Much Time Should You Cook Steak Bites In An Air Fryer?
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
When cut into small pieces known as "steak bites," a steak takes much less time to cook in an air fryer. At 400 degrees F, steak bites reach medium doneness in just six minutes.
If you prefer medium-rare, you'll only need around five minutes. Tossing the meat with seasonings, rubs, and marinades doesn't impact the cooking time, but breading does.
If you coat steak bites in breadcrumbs, 9 minutes in the air fryer at 400 degrees Fahrenheit will cook them to medium. Always preheat your air fryer first for consistent results.
Arrange the cubes in the air fryer basket in one even layer, and try to cut your meat into even pieces so they all finish air frying at the same time.
About halfway through cooking, pull the basket out and flip all the bites with a spatula or a set of tongs. If they have breading, you can just shake the basket to flip them over.
