How Many Beers Are In A Single Bottle Of Wine?
BY BRIAN UDALL
Wine typically comes in 750-millimeter bottles while beer comes in 12-ounce cans, equating roughly to 355 milliliters. By volume, 2.11 beers equal a single bottle of wine.
More relevant than volume is alcohol by volume (ABV). Wine is about 14% ABV while beer is around 5% ABV, meaning 5.9 beer cans equal one wine bottle.
However, not all beer is 5%. If you're drinking stout, which has an ABV of 6.5%, only 4.5 12-ounce cans equate to a bottle of wine.
Even then, everyone processes alcohol differently based on gender, body type, and food intake, so equivalent amounts of alcohol can affect people differently.
