How Many Beef Ribs Should You Serve To Each Guest?
BY MOLLY HARRIS
When serving beef ribs, the general rule of thumb is to plan for about one pound of beef ribs per adult. If there are children, you can plan for about half a pound per child.
Generally, a rack of beef ribs can range from two pounds to five pounds. Depending on how many people you plan to serve, you can usually get by with one small to large rack.
If you’re planning a large gathering, you might have to pick up more than one rack. Be sure to have as close to an accurate headcount as possible before visiting the butcher.
