How Long You Can Store Ricotta Cheese In The Fridge And Freezer
BY NIKKI MUNOZ
The shelf life of ricotta cheese depends greatly upon whether or not its package is open. Unopened ones last about two weeks in the fridge, while the opened ones last a week.
Ricotta cheese stored in the freezer will keep up for three months. To thaw it out, simply move it to the fridge overnight or until it reaches the right consistency.
Always store ricotta in an airtight container so it stays fresh and doesn't absorb food odors from the fridge. The perfect temp for ricotta to be stored at is 35 to 40 degrees F.
