How Long To Cook Tater Tots In The Air Fryer For Super Crispy Results
BY JOHN TOLLEY
The key to delectably crispy tater tots in an air fryer is about mastering the basics, which include cooking them at a high temperature for the right amount of time.
Before you begin cooking, remember that overcrowding the air fryer can produce lackluster results, so aim for a maximum of two cups of tater tots in your air fryer at a time.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, which is essential for achieving a desirable crunch on the outside while maintaining a fluffy interior.
Cook the tots for 14 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket every five minutes or so for an even crisp. If they still aren’t your ideal crispiness, cook for another minute or two.
If you’re not sure whether your tots are done, look for a deep golden brown color, and cut one open to see if the insides are light, fluffy, and fully cooked through.
