How Long Does It Take Your Instant Coffee To Go Bad?
BY SIMONE GERBER
While ground coffee can last two weeks in storage, instant coffee can last between one and 20 years. There is very little moisture, so pathogens can’t live or multiply.
An open container of instant coffee will stay good for two months or up to a few years. Make sure to check the brand’s expiry date and pay attention to how the container is stored.
For peak longevity, keep instant coffee in an airtight container away from heat, light, and moisture. Examine the coffee from time to time, and if something is off, toss it.
